C'est
juste cette année,en 2000,que notre école va fêter le centenaire de
son institution.Ce fut en 1900, en effet, que la Municipalité de Florence
la fonda, dans le but de former de bons techniciens pour les entreprises
du territoire.
Depuis lors ses spécialisations de mécanique, bâtiment, électrotecnique,
électronique et télecommunications, informatique et chimie n'ont pas
cessé d'etre le point de repère pour le tissu économique et productif
non seulement de la zone de Florence, mais de toute notre région.
Il y a des spécialisation de l'Ecole professionnelle (graphistes,
prothésistes dentaires , horlogers) qui représentent souvent la seule
opportunité de formation pour obtenir des compétences spécifiques
dans ces domaines.
Pendant ces cent ans notre établissement s'est sans cesse tenu au
courant des innovations scientifiques et technologiques pour offrir
aux élèves une préparation utilisable dans le monde du travail,ne
délaissant pas pour ça une préparation culturelle globale apte à la
continuation des études à l'Université.
Les contacts de notre école avec les industries du territoire sont
continus et nos élèves sont également confrontés aux problèmes de
leur secteur en travaillant à un projet concernant leur spécialisation
("Aire de Projet" pour le Technique) ou en approfondissant leur domaine
à l'aide d'experts externes ("Troisième Aire" pour l'Ecole Professionnelle).
Quelques classes participent aussi à des Projets Européens.
Notre école organise en outre des colloques et réunions aussi bien
sur des arguments scientifiques et techniques que sur des sujets d'innovations
didactiques ou d'intérêt social.
Notre établissement scolaire se dresse sur un emplacement presque
de 60.000 mq agrémenté de la verdure d'arbres séculaires , dispose
de quatre bâtiments où ont lieu les cours,un palais du sport, un terrain
de foot-ball à cinq.
On a enfin une trés belle bibliothèque , dont on est trés orgueilleux,constituèe
de 33000 volumes parmi lesquels il y a un fond de 3000 volumes du
XIX.e siècle et quelques publications du XVIII.e.
L'objectif principal de notre école est celui d'offrir une formation
moderne et dynamique apte à développer les dispositions individuelles
des élèves.
Les élèves sont de 14 à 19 ans et ont deux secteurs de formation:le
Lycée Technique et l'Ecole Professionnelle. Lycée
Technique : il est formé d'un tronc commun de deux ans (Biennio)
et de trois ans de spécialisation (Triennio) avec les spécialisations
de: Chimie, Bâtiment, Electronique et Télecommunications , Electrotechnique
et Automation, Mécanique, Informatique. Ecole
Professionnelle : elle comprend trois ans de qualification avec
plusieurs spécialisations.

The technical
Institute "Leonardo da Vinci"
of Florence celebrates in the year 2000 the centennial of its foundation.
Indeed, it was set up by the municipality of Florence in the year
1900 to train good technicians for the firms of the area.
For a century our school has been representing for its didactic -
structural characteristics, the point of reference for the economic
and productive structure of the following fields: Mechanics, Building,
Electronics, Electrotechnis, Telecommunication, Chemistry, Informatics,
not only in the zone of Florence but in all our region.
Some specializations of the Vocational Institute such as Graphics,
Dental mechanics, Watchmakers, offer the only opportunity to form
specific competencies in these sectors.
In these hundred years, the Institute has always been able to bring
itself up to date about some scientific technological innovations
to offer the students the necessary preparation for the job market.
At the same time, the Institute takes care of the cultural global
preparation in a way that the course of studies can be continued at
University level.
Periodically the students participate in stages of hands of training
with local industries: it exists a continuous contact between the
Institute and these latter ones.
The students are also led to face the problems that are inherent in
their specialization within the so called "Project areas" (for I.T.I.)
and the Third area (for the vocational Institute).
Project area is a deep study, carried out by the students about a
specific scientific or technological topic. The Third area is a deepening
of some vocational disciplines performed by external staff. Some classes
are engaged in the European Projects.
This Institute often organizes Conferences and meetings about scientific
and technical subjects, didactic and of social interest innovations.
The school is placed in an area of 60.000 mt2 and has four buildings
where the lessons are held, and has an indoor stadium, a football
field, a five - a - side field : all this encircled by greenness and
ancient trees. A real pride of the Institute is the Library that has
33000 volumes among which the nineteenth century Fund of 3000 volumes
and some publications of the eighteenth century.
The main aim of the Institute is that one to offer a modern and dynamic
training so that to develop the personal bents of the students.
The school has two sectors of training for students from 14 to 19

di Firenze festeggia nell'anno 2000 il centenario della sua fondazione.
Infatti fu istituito dal comune di Firenze nel 1900 per formare tecnici
ben preparati per le aziende del territorio.
Per le sue caratteristiche didattico-strutturali la scuola rappresenta
da un secolo, il punto di riferimento per il tessuto economico e produttivo
dei settori meccanico, edile, elettronico elettrotecnico, informatico,
chimico e delle comunicazioni, non solo dell'area fiorentina ma di
tutta la nostra regione.
Alcune specializzazioni dell'Istituto Professionale come quelle per
grafici, odontotecnici ed orologiai costituiscono, nell'offerta scolastica
provinciale, spesso l'unica opportunità di formazione per avere
competenze specifiche in tali settori.
In questi cento anni, l'Istituto è sempre riuscito ad aggiornarsi
sulle innovazioni scientifico-tecnologiche per offrire agli studenti
una preparazione utilizzabile nel mondo del lavoro. Contemporaneamente
ha curato sempre di più la preparazione culturale globale,
in modo che il percorso di studi potesse essere proseguito anche all'Università.
L'Istituto ha continui contatti con l'industria del territorio attraverso
stages che gli studenti svolgono periodicamente.
Gli alunni sono anche guidati ad affrontare problemi reali relativi
alla loro specializzazione nell'ambito delle Aree di Progetto (per
l'I.T.I.) e della Terza Area (per il Professionale). Alcune classi
sono impegnate in Progetti Europei.
L'Istituto organizza spesso Convegni ed incontri su argomenti scientifici,
tecnici, su innovazioni didattiche e di interesse sociale.
La scuola è situata in uno spazio di 60.000 m2 e dispone di
quattro edifici dove si svolgono le lezioni, un Palazzetto dello Sport,
un campo di calcio, un campo di calcetto, il tutto immerso fra il
verde di alberi ormai secolari. Orgoglio dell'Istituto è la
Biblioteca che contiene 33.000 volumi, fra i quali il Fondo ottocentesco
di 3000 volumi ed alcune pubblicazioni del '700.
Obiettivo principale dell'Istituto è dare una formazione moderna
e dinamica che favorisca lo sviluppo delle attitudini individuali
degli alunni.
La scuola comprende due settori di formazione per studenti dai 14
ai 19 anni: l'Istituto Tecnico e l'Istituto Professionale .
