HIS WAY OF WORKING
Isabelle Bribosia calls herself a " Plastic Artist " as she refuses to specialise in only one field, like a sculptor or a painter does. To give birth to her creations, Isabelle likes wandering about in the streets to communicate with the people. Isabelle says her art is a public form of art, without being institutional. She claims that institutional art always comes from political sources. That's why she's rather call it " public and social art ". She will often go into trains, museums, phone boots and similar places which she calls " non-lieu ", a french expression she used to describe places without a soul and a history. Isabelle expresses her doubts in the way she works with those " non-lieu ".
MATERIALS
Isabelle works with light-coloured stone (I.E. Marble). She will mainly work on the " image " but always in a very simple way, in which she reflects the human aspect by using 5 senses. She is fascinated by computering and everything. She likes to introduce philosophical reflexion in her work. That's why she feels the need to read the works of writers like Paul VIRILIO, BUYS… Isabelle is planning to organize " artist exchanges programmes ", she would also like to organize workshops and she would like to join a way of thinking.
