        Lycee
Leonin of Nea Smyrni "St Denis" was founded in 1838 in Sina
street. It was taken over by the Monks of the Mariste Brotherhood in
1907. It was transferred to Nea Smyrni in 1962 and a year later the
primary school "Chrysostomos Smyrnis" was founded, also directed
by the Mariste Brothers and in collaboration with Leonin.
Lycee Leonin is essentially a Christian school with educational principles
based on the Founder of the order of the Mariste Brotherhood, St Marcellin
Champagnat. Our primary aims are an integrated education, the development
of the natural, maral and mental qualities students, as well as of their
creativity and responsability, along with learning about freedom and
          its limits.

Our school supports family and simplicity, which is why we try to establish
deep communication and cooperation among students, teachers, parents
and the Brothers. We beleive in continuously renewing the content and
method of our work, in the daily personal contribution and integrated
presence in the world of our students.
We consider that parents share our conviction that only through ou live
example can we transmit our message to children. We can teach them respect
and esteem, honesty and trust towards people, communication through
dialogue, as well as love for other people if we use all these qualities
in our daily interaction with the students.

The success rate of our students in the exams to enter universities
an technical state school is high. Lycee Leonin of Nea Smyrni often
holds charities as well as various religious and cultural activities.
In addition, in the frame of the European Union, we have been collaborating
with schools from other European countries for many years, since we
believe in the necessity of educational exchange.
