Il progetto prende il nome di EUR-EAU@action perché si occupa del fiume e della sua storia nel corso dei secoli.
Le scuole che aderiscono a questo progetto europeo sono cinque, fra cui anche l'Istituto Comprensivo Convenevole da Prato che frequento. I nostri insegnanti hanno deciso di partecipare al progetto perché da anni la scuola si occupava dell'ambiente.
Gli obiettivi del progetto sono sia educativi che didattici: indurre gli studenti a socializzare tra loro ed a lavorare a "classi aperte"; permettere ai ragazzi di scoprire le loro capacità; favorire un lavoro interdisciplinare.
Nel primo anno che abbiamo dedicato a questo progetto abbiamo studiato la morfologia del territorio circostante il fiume, operando anche sul campo attraverso delle uscite alla sorgente e lungo il suo corso.
Abbiamo documentato la flora e la fauna del luogo con erbari e schedari compilati con disegni e campioni.
Con l'aiuto di cartine, rappresentanti la provincia di Prato, abbiamo costruito un plastico in compensato del bacino del Bisenzio, colorandolo con colori diversi in base all'altitudine e al tipo di vegetazione.
Nel secondo anno dedicato al fiume ci siamo occupati del contributo che il Bisenzio ha dato nello sviluppo tecnologico avvenuto in quella zona. In particolare ci siamo soffermati sui mulini e sul loro funzionamento.
Con l'aiuto di una esperta di mulini abbiamo costruito in scala un modellino di un mulino ad acqua utilizzando cartone e argilla per le macine. Questa costruzione in miniatura presenta tre livelli: in quello sotterraneo si trova una ruota con pale, mosse dall'acqua, la quale è collegata con la stanza superiore attraverso un bastone che fa muovere le macine le quali macinano il grano proveniente da un foro nel soffitto.
Con i dati raccolto in questi due anni abbiamo sviluppato un ipertesto i cui risultati potranno essere conosciuti da tutti anche attraverso la rete informatica. Questo ipertesto documenta il lavoro del nostro progetto. ·

The project is called EUR-EAU@action because it keys about the river and its story along the centuries.
The schools that take part at this European project are five. Of these take part the "Institute Compressive Convenevole da Prato", that I attend. Our teachers decided to take part at the project because for many years the school keys about the natural habitat.
The object of the project are educational and didactic: to induce the students to socialise between then and to work in "open class"; to allow the students to discover their ability; to favour a interdisciplinary work.
In the first year that we dedicated to this project we studied the morphology of the territory surrounding the river operand on the field to his source and along his course.
We documented the place's flora and fauna with herbariums and files compiled with drawing and swatch.
With the help of maps, representative the Prato's province, we built a plastic model with wood the Bisenzio basin, colouring it with different colour for altitude and vegetation's kind.
In the second year dedicated to the river, we kept about the contribution that the Bisenzio gave in the technological development happened in that zone. In particular we linger overon the mills and their working.
With the help of an expert of mills we built a model in scale of a water mill using cardboard and clay for the millstone.
With the picked up data in these two years we development on hypertext's results will can be recognise by all people also through internet. This hypertext document the work of our project.
